Mason Alert: University Phone and 911 Service Down

Mason Alert: George Mason University is experiencing a telecommunications technical issue. Currently, University Police cannot receive inbound calls from off campus and university phones. For emergency situations, please use cell phone to contact University Police by dialing 911. 911 calls placed from a cell phone will be routed to Fairfax County emergency services; the county will notify University Police as necessary.

University phones may be used to contact other university phone numbers. Information Technology Services is working to restore phone service as quickly as possible. A Mason Alert will be sent when phone service is restored.

If the fire alarm sounds in your building, please evacuate and report the alarm using your cell phone by dialing 911.
