Mason Alert: THOMPSON HALL Classes Relocated/Cancelled Administrative Offices Closed Tuesday May 1st

Thompson Hall is currently without power due to a transformer fire that occurred outdoors on the Fairfax Campus on Monday evening. Classes scheduled in Thompson Hall before 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 1st, are cancelled. Classes in Thompson Hall beginning at or after 10:30 a.m. will be relocated if possible or cancelled if necessary. Information about class relocations will be sent by Mason Alert as soon as possible. Administrative offices in Thompson are also closed until further notice.
Classes, office hours, and activities will be held as scheduled in all other university buildings.
The regional utility company is working to restore power to Thompson Hall as quickly as possible. Repairs are expected to be completed Tuesday evening or as late as Wednesday morning. A Mason Alert will be sent announcing when classes can resume and administrative offices will reopen.

Employees who work in Thompson Hall should discuss their work schedule with their supervisor and arrange to work at an alternate location or telework if possible. Employees who are unable to telework or perform their duties outside Thompson Hall should record time as university leave.
